What is UL 300 fire suppression system?

UL 300 fire suppression systems are designed to automatically detect and extinguish fires that may occur in a commercial cooking operation. They typically consist of a series of sensors that are placed throughout the cooking area, as well as a series of nozzles or sprinklers that are activated when a fire is detected. The nozzles or sprinklers release a special fire suppression agent, typically a wet chemical or foam, that is designed to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. UL 300 fire suppression systems are required to meet certain performance and safety standards, as specified by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in the UL 300 standard. These standards ensure that the systems are effective at detecting and extinguishing fires, and that they are safe to use in a commercial cooking environment.
How does it work?

The ME300 control panel is designed to keep you and your home safe from stovetop fires. The moment the hood bottom reaches a critical temperature, the linear heat detector activates the alarm and commands the stove power to shut off. The panel also triggers the K type wet agent fire extinguisher, which immediately puts out the fire and covers it with a protective blanket to prevent re-ignition. And in case of an emergency, you can manually trigger the system by simply pulling the manual pull station

What stove setup it will fit?

Our fire suppression system is versatile and can accommodate any stove or cooktop, regardless of its width, fuel type, or range hood type. Our system fits all cooktops up to 36 inches wide and can be used with both gas and electric stoves. The range hood bottom must be between 22 to 36 inches above the cooking surface, making it the perfect solution for any kitchen. With the included nozzle and detector bracket, Kitchen Fire Stop can be easily installed under any common range hood, whether it has an open or closed bottom, and even under a 30-inch over-the-range microwave.

How long will it last?
Enjoy long-lasting protection in your kitchen with our reliable fire suppression system. Designed to last for years, our system only requires a simple refresh every 5 to 6  years, to ensure optimal performance. We'll send you a reminder before your 5-year mark, and you can easily order a 5-year refresh kit to renew your system's battery and fire-extinguishing agent. In the event of a system discharge, you can quickly get your kitchen back to a safe state by ordering a discharging replacement kit. This kit includes everything you need to replace the detector and extinguisher, so you can have peace of mind knowing that your kitchen is always protected.
How about inspection and maintenance?

The system requires a bi-monthly check-up that is easy to perform - simply make sure the extinguisher pressure is within the green zone and the only light blinking on the ME300 panel is the green "SYSTEM OK" light. Additionally, once a year, we recommend conducting a dry activation as outlined in the manual. This will keep your system in top shape and ready to perform in case of a fire. In the unlikely event that you encounter a problem such as a yellow "trouble" LED, loss of pressure, or system discharge, don't hesitate to contact our exceptional customer service team for prompt assistance.

Why should I buy Kitchen Fire Stop instead of the competition?
This fire suppression system is rigorously tested and listed by Intertek (ETL) to meet the UL300A standard for residential suppression systems, providing you with the same level of protection as commercial kitchen suppression systems used in restaurants. Unlike other suppression systems that may not have been tested to the UL300A standard, Kitchen Fire Stop has been proven to effectively extinguish stove fires, with a 100% success rate against all possible grease fires and 0% false alarms. Additionally, in the unlikely event of an accidental activation, you can rest assured that there will be no damage or harm caused and the system is easy to clean.
